The two-pleated trousers have been popular since the 1930s (or even earlier). The pleats bring loose trousers to ensure comfort. It was originally the pants worn by the upper class when they participated in dances or leisure sports. After the end of World War II, the rise of ivy style made khaki pants (some pleated pants, some did not), and this kind of heat has been maintained until the 1990s.

Superb, well crafted trousers. A full seat profile in a vintage cut might be unexpected for those used to a more modern slim-fit cut, but these are how trousers are supposed to fit. Beautiful high waist and lovely weight to the cloth. Olderbest wins again!

Been looking for trousers like this for ages. These are exceptionally comfortable, being of a traditional cut the sit at the actual waistline so are not always falling down like a lot of contemporary designs. There is plenty of space in the groin area as well so they are cool and airy in hot weather. Just an excellent product and a new favourite.
