Following the initial M-1951 design, Spec. MIL-J-11448. The jacket introduced snap fasteners and a full front zipper, improving convenience over earlier buttoned models. It features a standing collar for cold protection, which was carried into the M-1965 Field Jacket later. Buttoned cuffs and a detachable hood add versatility, while the slightly wider sleeves and tailored waist provide a clean silhouette.
Made of OD7 cotton sateen, the fabric develops a natural vintage patina over time and wear, offering a rugged, historically authentic look suitable for daily wear or layering.

Based on the M-1943 field jacket, the M-1951 Field jacket was officially produced by the US Army in 1951 as a winter jacket (the M-50 was a transitional version). It served around 15 years, from the early 1950s to the mid-1960s, before being replaced by the M-65 field jacket.
